Lyudmila Solod
Founder and head of the studio, floral artist, author of books on flower collages and pictures.
Path
A biologist by training, Lyudmila graduated from the Faculty of Biology and Soil Science of Moscow State University, worked at a botanical garden and assembled scientific herbaria. She has worked with pressed flowers since 2002 — at the time Moscow had neither a school nor masters of the craft, so she taught herself from foreign books and articles, and later trained in South Korea. In 2003–2005 she founded the Tsvetoslozhenie studio.
Recognition
- prize-winner of competitions and international exhibitions, including a pressed flower art exhibition in South Korea (2015);
- member of the International Association “Union of Designers” and of international pressed flower art associations in Japan and the UK;
- European diploma in floral collage and design, Japanese ikebana diplomas.
Exhibitions
Group exhibitions since 2002 — in museums, galleries and at festivals in Russia and abroad. Solo exhibitions:
